A father, a church goer, a choir member, a hard working man, is how most people remember Oscar Grant. It was new years day when he was shot at the Fruitville bart station in Oakland. Over 1000 people attended his funeral service in Hayward, he was 22 years old.
Yesterday, there was a peaceful rally that ended up by the night time an ugly riot down Broadway. In a time where we thought racial segregation and profiling was over with the election of our new president, we have this incident that shows us how bad and backwards America really is. It shows that even though we live in the land of the free things aren’t as they appear.
There is supposed to be another rally today around 1. Ill update then…..
