wk 33

Yes Yes. On the 33rd week we played some new tracks by Four Tet, Caribou, and a bunch of music from New York. Had a couple of guest come thru Maurice from the show Conversations and Music which airs on Thursdays 2 to 4pm, then Theresa hung out, enjoyed some 1 dollar Naty Ice and shared a track by her friend Spenser Owen. I played a segment to honor Howard Zinn’s magnificent brain but the computer was freaking out and sped thru the piece.

Four Tet – Much Love to the Plastic People

The new Four Tet album doesn’t come out until Jan 26, but oh yes…he decided to drop a mixCD which will ready the masses for his return. Actually, Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) never really stopped making music (long list of remixes/collab’s). But it’s been almost 5 years since his last full length LP, Everything Ecstatic. For the past year or so, Kieran Hebden has been a resident DJ at Plastic People in London. And during his last show on Dec. 11, he gave away an exclusive mixCD as a sort of “thank you” to the club. Nice, you can always count on Kieran Hebden to come thru with great mixes. I couldn’t find the tracklist, but if I do I’ll make sure to put it up. And don’t forget, Four Tet is playing at the Independent (San Francisco) on Feb. 26!!
